Accolades

DistinctionHamilton Magnet School of Engineering & Technology was named a 2022 National Magnet School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America, the national association for magnet and theme-based schools.

To receive this prestigious national award, our school submitted a detailed application that is scored by a panel of educators. These applications are judged and scored on the demonstrated ability to raise student academic achievement, promote racial and socioeconomic diversity, provide integrated curricula and instruction, and create strong family and community partnerships that enhance the school's magnet theme.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based three-tiered framework for improving and integrating all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. Hamilton was named a Florida PBIS Model School Silver Award Winner for 2019-2020 and was awarded the Resilience Award in 2020-2021.
